12 Holiday Link Party Features to Boost Your Seasonal Traffic

Just over a month ago, my fellow blogger friends and I hosted the Holiday Link Party. We were thrilled by the wonderful response and the many inspiring submissions. Now it’s time to share our featured picks. Like the Twelve Days of Christmas, I selected twelve standout projects and ideas to highlight.
This is our second year hosting the Holiday Link Party. Choosing features was a delightful challenge—so many creative entries made it difficult to narrow them down. I asked my daughter to help select a few favorites, and together we chose these twelve highlights. Each entry here stood out for creativity, charm, or usefulness. Congratulations to everyone featured!

First Feature — Holiday Music Room Decorating

Amber of Follow the Yellow Brick Home transformed her music room into a stunning holiday space. Sheet music, paper garlands, and musical instruments create a warm, whimsical display—complete with a beautiful tree that feels perfectly in tune with the season.

Second Feature — Festive Sparkly Oreo Cookies

Chosen by my daughter, a dessert lover, these Festive Sparkly Glitter Oreo Cookies caught our eye with bold colors and playful sparkle. Thank you to Erlene of My Pinterventures for sharing the recipe—perfect for holiday parties or festive treats at home.

Third Feature — DIY Ticking Stripe Stockings

Vicky and Kristen of Timeless Creations created charming ticking stripe stockings that are perfect for a traditional or farmhouse-style mantel. Their step-by-step tutorial makes it easy to create your own heirloom-quality stockings.

Fourth Feature — DIY Elf on the Shelf

Anna of Strawberry Butterscotch made a handmade Elf on the Shelf and provided a clear tutorial so others can create a similar friend for holiday mischief and fun.

Fifth Feature — Ribbon Christmas Tree Centerpiece

Suzanne of Pearl Street Designs shares a unique, colorful tree centerpiece made from ribbons. It’s a fresh, imaginative take on holiday table decor and a great weekend project.

Sixth Feature — Upcycled Gift Wrapping and Tags

As an advocate for upcycling, I loved this tutorial by Lisa of Cucicucicoo, which shows how to make charming gift tags from old greeting cards and how to wrap gifts creatively and sustainably.

Seventh Feature — Wood Slice Snowmen Ornaments

Mindie of MisAdventures of a Homesteadin Mama made adorable wood-slice snowmen ornaments using scrap wood. This simple, charming craft is ideal for family crafting and next year’s tree.

Eighth Feature — Ugly Sweater Wreath (Cute, Not Ugly)

T’onna of Sew Crafty Crochet created an “ugly sweater” wreath that is delightfully cute—an imaginative, cozy wreath perfect for holiday entryways.

Ninth Feature — Hot Cocoa Stencils

Create café-style hot chocolate at home with Christmas-inspired stencils from My Pinterventures. These stencils add a festive finishing touch to holiday beverages and make cozy winter mornings extra special.

Tenth Feature — Winter Mason Jar Luminaries

Our Unschooling Journey created serene winter luminaries from mason jars with help from the kids—a lovely way to add soft light and atmosphere to holiday evenings.

Eleventh Feature — Crocheted Snowflakes

Anabelia Handmade shared delicate crocheted snowflake motifs that make beautiful ornaments, garlands, or gift toppers. Their intricate patterns are truly inspiring for anyone who crochets.

Twelfth Feature — New York Botanical Garden Train Show

The New York Botanical Garden’s annual Train Show is a magical holiday tradition. I was fortunate to visit years ago and now enjoy seeing it again through the beautiful photos shared by Chaos with Coffee.
