The Paranoid Man Pumpkin Craft

We’re already halfway through fall and I realized I hadn’t shared any pumpkin crafts yet. As a fall lover, that felt like a crime—so here it is: my pumpkin craft, affectionately called the Paranoid Man Pumpkin. It’s my pride and joy, even though it has a few dents and quirks.

From Damaged Bowl to Decoupaged Base

The project began with a bowl I’d been saving in a kitchen cabinet. It had a burn and a small hole where liquids would seep through, so it wasn’t good for serving anymore. I kept it anyway, intending to repurpose it into something decorative for fall.

My paranoid pumpkin wanted to be the center of attention, so I experimented with different hats to help him stand out. A black hat was tried first, but it didn’t quite give him the distinction he wanted. The nearby pumpkins still seemed to outshine him, leaving him looking a bit squashed among the display.

Even dried, leather-like leaves and other rustic details couldn’t fully resolve his insecurity. Despite trying different looks, the Paranoid Man Pumpkin remained a bit overwhelmed by the competition.

Final Display

For now, our paranoid pumpkin man remains tucked into his decoupaged bowl, a little squished but full of character. He may find a hat that truly makes him shine later, but for the moment he adds a quirky and humorous touch to a fall vignette—perfect for those who enjoy playful seasonal decor.
